A warm welcome to you all from LawScape. This blog aims predominately
to digest current legal affairs in an accessible manner. Its creation was
determined by two factors. Firstly, the realisation that much legal news is not
readily clear to members of the public with little knowledge of the law.
Secondly, LawScape is founded upon the knowledge that in today’s economically
challenged society, where individuals are being expected increasingly to manage
their own legal affairs without professional assistance, there is a pressing
need for members of the public to have some idea of how the law is changing and
how it might affect their own individual circumstances.
To that end, LawScape will peruse the legal landscape and aim to digest it in a simple and succinct way, intending to be accessible to all. It will
summarise developments, analyse their impact and comment on their desirability.
Ultimately, it is a discussion and, like most discussions, it will be more
interesting and valuable if more people get involved. With that in mind, please
comment and discuss.
Along the way it is hoped LawScape will feature contributions from
others writing about legal topics and news of interest to them. It will also
occasionally feature legal news of interest from other countries. More than
anything, I hope that LawScape can be a valuable and enjoyable source of
information for all.
Kindest regards,
Daniel Setter
