About LawScape

LawScape was established in December 2012 with the aim of digesting legal news in an accessible and interesting way. It seeks to bring legal developments and the important, decisive, parts of legal decisions to readers in short and accessible articles. It also aims, more generally, to inform and educate readers about the law.

The creation of LawScape was determined by two factors. Firstly, the realisation that much legal news is not readily clear to members of the public with little knowledge of the law. Secondly, LawScape is founded upon the knowledge that in today's economically challenged society, where individuals are being expected increasingly to manage their own legal affairs without professional assistance, there is a pressing need for members of the public to have some idea of how the law is changing and how it might affect their own individual circumstances.

LawScape is ultimately a discussion and, like most discussions, it will be more interesting and valuable if more people get involved. With that in mind, please comment and discuss. Please also feel free to ask questions and leave feedback in the comments box after each article.

Warmest regards,

Daniel Setter
